The Dark Net

This week I read a book entitled The Dark Net : Inside The Digital Underworld, by Jamie Bartlett. It is a really good book, and for me it gives an interesting insight of why Bitcoin is created. Well, there are more than just explaining Bitcoin, if you are interested in cryptography, then this book is really sufficient to learn the development stages of that technology, great minds behind it, and also other underground activities using that technology.

Me myself may focus my reading in Bitcoin. It is said to complete the Trifecta : an anonymous payment method used in an anonymous transaction and by using an anonymous connection (although the anonymity of Bitcoin is later questioned by research conducted in this field). I am impressed to read that Bitcoin is built by a political motive. The author believes that economic system must be separated from the government, because they tend to be…. corrupted. Satoshi Nakamoto, that is the pseudonym of the Bitcoin author, wants to create a free economic system, free from inflation and wrong doings by the government.

The Dark Net also provides information about those who are called cypherpunks, how they gather and how they contribute in protecting the privacy of society, how to avoid of being monitored by the government. It is considered important by the community that people must be able to do what they want in the cyber world.

And, you can read more about other stuffs, but it is best to read it by yourself.
