This might be my second entry in the CV of failures. Well, it appeared that I did not get any failures that much lately. But here it goes.
The 2017 Shenzen Winter School is supposed to be great. There are famous speakers already invited, such as Andrew Miller, the Zcash guy, and Vitalik Buterin might be there too. My supervisor mentioned the name Ittai Abraham as one of the best experts in cryptography area, and he will be there too.
Unfortunately I did not get it. Well, in fact, I did not receive any notification regarding my application I submitted earlier, whether it was accepted or rejected. But my Chinese friend (who was also applying) said that it is really Chinese, that you don’t get any notification if you failed.
Oh my!
I thought it is going to be a good thing since they are collaborating with a famous university from US, Cornell Uni. But I guess that is not enough. They didn’t even reply my enquiry by email, asking whether the result has already been published. But no, there is no such information on their website.
