Haha, perhaps I’m over-reacted 😛
I now realize that building english sentences should be learned, even I got high Toefl score on my last test, it doesn’t count if I’m not practicing. Actually my side job as a site reviewer helps a lot starting this practice, and maybe starting from that reviewing I will continue make english articles, eventough it’s hard for the first few times.
Just as Lintang said, english language consists of words. The hardship is to use those words into proper sentences. That’s when we use grammar. But again, words are the main part of languages. Once you mastered words, grammars are just piece of cake.
A friend asked me why I’m good at english (when I thought I’m not that good), it reminds me of first time I learned english. It’s when I’m in my first grade of elementary school. Me and my sister, we both learned english from television programme called “sesame street”, or now translated into Bahasa Indonesia as “jalan sesame”, but unfortunately I don’t learn anything from the new format of “jalan sesame” for benefit of my english skill. Too bad 🙁
Actually my youngest sister speak english better than me, and my older sister has mastered French as well as she has mastered English, so I thought the three of us must have a good basic talent on languages (and I’m helpless at math). But that’s all about basic skill. Everyone can learn it. We do not need special talent to just speak english well. So, if you really want to learn english that bad, then practice. Or, if you have trouble to learn by yourself, you can join english courses or english clubs such as Toastmasters International or Britzone.
English is so important nowadays; most popular job will require its applicants to be good at english, so you don’t have to wait until they force you to learn it, do you?
